factory

Factory

The Factory is a dungeon in 2300 AD. It is located in the eastern region of the main continent, east of Lab 32 and north of Proto Dome.

It does not offer a Key Item directly; rather, it unlocks access to the End of Time through Proto Dome. It is unlikely, but not impossible, that completing Factory will be your only access to End of Time, and thus magic and Mount Woe.

The right side of the Factory does not need to be completed in Jets of Time. Unlike Arris Dome, the player is capable of inputting the passcode into the generator console without having first learned it by visiting the Info Archive.

The right side's conveyor robots have a window of opportunity for the party to sneak past them; wait for the two robots closer to one another to pass the party, then dash to the next exit before the two more-spaced robots meet the party. Collision with any robot on the conveyor will trigger the crane to deposit the party on the northern conveyor belt.

Requirements:

  Game Mode:
Standard: Pendant and completion of the Prison sequence.
  Lost Worlds: None.
  Legacy of Cyrus: Inaccessible.
Ice Age: Pendant and completion of the Prison sequence.

Recommendations: A full-screen Lightning tech. The Acids and Alkalines in the left half of the Factory are vulnerable to Lightning, and having access to said tech will greatly decrease the time spent clearing Factory.

Strategy

Unlike vanilla, there are only 4 R-Series in the Factory, not 6.

R-Series will begin counterattacking when there are only 2 left. The more R-series that go down, the stronger the counter attacks become. When there is only one party member left, they will counter with laser attacks. When only one R-Series remains, it will counter with party damage. High-damaging magic spells like Flare or Dark Matter that are likely to defeat all of them in one shot is the preferred strategy.

Even when boss randomization is on, the Factory's boss does not get shuffled.
