If you attack Guardian while both bits are alive, it will counter all party members with shadow damage. If you attack Guardian while one bit is still alive, it will counter the attacking party member with shadow damage. Once both bits are dead, a countdown to reviving the bits begins, at the end of the countdown, Guardian attacks all party members with an attack inflicting shadow and fire damage
