Key Items

Key Items are collected after finishing dungeons, quests, or from NPCs. These will be shuffled within the checks in every seed of Jets of Time. (currently ordering by perceived “usefulness” but we could also alphabetize? -batsy)

Gate Key

The Gate Key is a device invented by Lucca to operate Time Gates. You are not required to hold the Gate Key to step into any available Gate in Jets of Time; the only Gate it unlocks is the Gate to Prehistory.

  • Opens Gate to Prehistory (65,000,000) BC, located in the cupboard at the Imps' house in Medina, 1000 AD
  • Access to Reptite Lair (Key Item check)
  • Access to Dactyl Nest (Character check)
  • Required for Tyrano Lair to Ocean Palace Go Mode

Pendant

Marle's pendant which has been passed down through her family for generations. It once belonged to Schala, Magus's older sister and the princess of Zeal Kingdom. When charged with energy it can open sealed chests and doors. In most standard flags you are not required to charge the pendant at the Mammon Machine before it can open doors, it will activate once you use it to access the Future.

  • Opens the Future (2300) AD via the Trial quest: enter Guardia Castle in 1000 AD and present the pendant to Pierre, the lawyer (he will be standing at the base of the stairs at the entrance to the castle opposite a soldier). Once you have defeated Dragon Tank, you will go through a Gate to the Future.
  • Opens sealed chests and doors: in standard flags, this will be enabled once you have landed in the Future. You may open the sealed doors in Bangor, Trann, and Arris Domes, and the various sealed chests located in 600 and 1000 AD.
  • Access to Arris Dome (Key Item check)
  • Access to Sun Palace (Key Item check)
  • Access to Geno Dome (Key Item check)
  • Access to Proto Dome (Character check)
  • Required for Death Peak to Black Omen Go Mode
