Key Items

Key Items are collected after finishing dungeons, quests, or from NPCs. These will be shuffled within the checks in every seed of Jets of Time.

Gate Key

The Gate Key is a device invented by Lucca to operate Time Gates. You are not required to hold the Gate Key to step into any available Gate in Jets of Time; the only Gate it unlocks is the Gate to Prehistory.

Pendant

Marle's pendant which has been passed down through her family for generations. It once belonged to Schala, Magus's older sister and the princess of Zeal Kingdom. When charged with energy it can open sealed chests and doors. In most standard flags you are not required to charge the pendant at the Mammon Machine before it can open doors, it will activate once you use it to access the Future.

Dreamstone

A brilliant red mineral that used to exist in large quantities in prehistoric times, but has been virtually eradicated in the present. It unlocks the upper floors of the Tyrano Lair when placed on the button in the cell in the basement (where Kino would be kept in the vanilla game).

Ruby Knife

This dagger was crafted from Dreamstone by Melchior in order to oppose the Mammon Machine. It opens the sealed door in Zeal Palace that leads to the throne room and the Ocean Palace.

Chrono Trigger

The titular artifact was created by the Guru of Time and may have the power to manipulate the time stream in order to restore life. Given to the Nu in the back of Keeper's Dome in 2300 AD along with the Clone, it grants access to Death Peak.

Clone

An doll with an uncanny resemblance to Crono, used to restore him to life after his unfortunate run-in with Lavos in the vanilla game. Given to the Nu in the back of Keeper's Dome in 2300 AD along with the Chrono Trigger, it grants access to Death Peak.

Bent Sword

The blade of the Masamune, separated from its hilt. When both pieces are given to Melchior, he will reforge the sword, which Frog can use to open up Magus's Castle.

Bent Hilt

The hilt of the Masamune, separated from its blade. When both pieces are given to Melchior, he will reforge the sword, which Frog can use to open up Magus's Castle.

Prism Shard

A shard from the Rainbow Shell, a treasure found and kept safe by Guardia Kingdom in the year 600. Used in 1000 AD as evidence to prove the king has not stolen and sold it. Bring to Guardia Castle in 600 AD, and after the King agrees to retrieve the shell, travel to 1000 AD and bring Marle into the castle. Proceed to the courtroom to begin the Rainbow Shell quest.

Moon Stone

So called when it has run out of energy, this was once a Sun Stone, an incredibly efficient and planet-friendly source of power. It must be charged before it can be used again. Drop the Moon Stone in the Sun Keep in Prehistory, then travel to the Future to pick up the fully charged Sun Stone. Then bring the Sun Stone to Melchior in the basement of Guardia Castle after completing the Prism Shard quest to receive a Key Item.
Please make sure to wait until the fanfare has finished playing after you pick it up (if your characters are moving, you'll notice they freeze for a moment when it finishes) to exit the Sun Keep, otherwise the Sun Stone may not be added to your inventory.

Grand Leon

The Masamune, known as the Grand Leon in the Japanese version of the game. This is the powered-up version of the sword and Frog's ultimate weapon. When in your possession you may hire the carpenters in 600 AD to repair the floor of the Northern Ruins in Choras (this replaces the Tools in vanilla).

Hero Medal

This emblem is said to be carried by the Hero who will save the Kingdom of Guardia from evil. It opens the treasure chest on the right side of Frog's Burrow in 600 AD.

Toma's Pop

A can of Toma's favorite definitely non-alcoholic drink. Pour it on his grave at the West Cape of Choras in 1000 AD to speak to his spirit, who will open up the Giant's Claw dungeon in 600 AD.

Robo's Ribbon

A gift from Atropos, another of the R-Series robots, to Robo. In vanilla it grants permanent boosts to some of Robo's stats; in Jets it is an equippable item.

Jerky

Delicious Jerky represented by the pink-wrapped lunchbox icon. Give it to the women in the kitchen at the Elder's House in Porre in 600 AD, then travel to the same house in 1000 AD. The Mayor of Porre will no longer be greedy and will give you a high-powered item.

Jets of Time

Only available with the Epoch Fail flag, the Jets of Time allow the grounded Epoch to fly. Visit Dalton in the Snail Stop in 1000 AD to attach the wings and gain access to flight locked locations.
